Who is Tofu?
Tofu is a small stuffed Koala. He met his best friend at a time when she was struggling with her mental health. He made her smile and continues to help her grow daily. His mission in life is to help others find joy in the small things and become the best they can be. Tofu is currently helping his owner to learn Korean. He hopes that he can help you learn as well. 화이팅! (Fighting!)~
Note: Tofu has great difficulty typing on a computer because of his lack of thumbs. For this reason he usually asks his best friend, Ash, to type for him.

About Tofu's Bestie, Ash
Hello!
My name is Ash. You are also welcome to call me by my Korean name: Seol-Ah (설아). I'm a 24-year-old American, currently living in California. 2 years ago I attended Hongik University's Korean Language program through level 2. Since leaving Korea, my motivation for studying Korean has dwindled considerably. Despite having a Korean boyfriend, I have not been practicing speaking in Korean hardly at all. However, due to some challenges that arose in our lives from the COVID-19 outbreak, I have found a new spark to start learning Korean again. My goal is to reach Korean fluency so that I can someday communicate with Koreans without using English as a crutch.
My current motivations for becoming fluent are: the ability to communicate with my boyfriend's family when I meet them, to make new friends and connections, and to enjoy Korean media as a native speaker would. I have decided to take Korean classes once again, and am currently enrolled in Korean 3 online at Los Angeles City College.
As time goes on, I will be posting tips and tricks that I have discovered throughout my journey, as well as resources and anything else I believe others may find useful. By sharing my progress during the next few months and long into the future, I hope that you will gain inspiration for reaching your own goals. Feel free to comment on posts, ask questions, share your progress, and follow along with me!
